Madura Tea

About Tea

"I love Madura Tea and have been drinking it for 15 years after my mother-in-law got me to change from Lan Choo Tea. I used to have to buy it from the Health Food Shop. All my family have changed to Madura and we mostly have tea leaves and use a tea pot. The Best! When we go away we always take our Madura Tea Bags as there is nothing like it. A cuppa fixes all sorts of things."

Lyn

About Tea

According to legend, tea was discovered in China about 5,000 years ago when a tea leaf fell into a bowl held by Emperor Shen Nung while he was seated beneath a wild tea plant. While there’s no way to verify this story, there is no doubt that China was the birthplace of the tea industry.

Earliest written records indicate that the Chinese were drinking tea in the sixth century AD for medicinal reasons. However, it’s unknown how and when they discovered the method of infusing tea in boiling water for a more palatable brew.

Tea has come a long way since then. Today, we can buy our tea in bags, foil pouches or caddies. We can enjoy it hot or cold, flavored or traditional, green or black.

No matter how or when it’s served, there’s nothing more comforting that a perfect cup of Madura pure tea, blended from the finest leaves – the way nature intended.
