"I love Madura Tea and have been drinking it for 15 years after my mother-in-law got me to change from Lan Choo Tea. I used to have to buy it from the Health Food Shop. Madura was founded by a third-generation tea planter from Ceylon, Michael Grant-Cook, and his wife Norma in 1978. Like many other tea planters of his time, Mike was looking for the perfect sub-tropical conditions to make a superior, consistent and full-bodied tea.
As a pioneer of eco-sensitive farming, Mike’s vision was to produce the best teas in the world while preserving and enhancing the natural environment.
Today, Madura is guided by four families who are carrying on the tradition of sustainable tea farming and production. We employ around 50 people as part of our ‘family’ to produce premium, pure teas that are enjoyed by discerning tea drinkers around the world.
